Goa is mostly known for its beautiful beaches but only a few people know that Goa is beyond beaches, one of these is, the Forts of Goa which are in rich history to know 

 

HISTORY OF CABO DE RAMA FORT 

The fort Cabo de Rama is located in Goan beach. The fort is named after the Hindu God Lord Rama. The fort is specifically located in the Canacona district of Goa. It is positioned at 25 km to the southern end of the Margao region. While talking about this historical fort, it contains huge importance when it comes to history of Goa as well as the importance it has shaped the Goa and the days that was once ruled by the Portuguese.

  1. A small chapel with a statue of the Virgin Mary, a prominent Portuguese architecture example, is another attraction. It also organizes an annual feast
  2.       The fort's western side offers the magnificent Arabian Sea and shoreline views and is a lovely spot for a photo or to witness an amazing sunset panorama.
  3. On Goa's southernmost edge, this fort is perched between two well-known beaches in South Goa; Cavelossim and Agonda
  4.    Formerly known as 'Cape Rama,' it is supposed to have been named after Rama, Hindu God, who sought refuge here along with his wife Sita during his exile from Ayodhya.      
  5.  An architectural marvel, this fort showcases a beautiful amalgam of different cultures and traditions. Hindus, Portuguese, and British influences are clearly visible here in ruins.
  6. The fort features a massive defensive wall, a moat, a gatehouse, a well, two springs, a large water tank, and multiple bastions. Large cannons are still here atop many of the bastions.

St Antonio Church This Church is a prominent Portuguese architectural example and is full of tranquility. Here you can get a chance to take part in an annual feast held by the local community to offer their prayers and recollect history.



Breath-taking Arabian Sea View Cabo de Rama is an ideal place to enjoy the beautiful Arabian Sea panorama. Also, a small path from the fort will transport you to the coastline.

                CORJUEM FORT GOA.      Gorgeous lies about 12 km North East of Panaji. Gorgeous food was built in 1550 and was originally the property of the mostly rulers of sawantwadi.
